Police are trying to trace the driver of a red Ford Focus C-Max after four people were injured in a hit and run outside a school in Stourbridge this morning (12 September). The two women and two children – a boy and a girl, both aged three - were on Hob Green Road just before 9am when they were struck. They were all taken to hospital to be checked over but thankfully were not seriously hurt. Enquiries are on-going to find the person who was behind the wheel and police are keen to stress the collision is not connected to the nearby school. Sgt Ross Treacy from Dudley Police said: “This could have been much more serious and we are working hard to trace the driver. “I want to hear from anyone who saw the crash or witnesses who may have seen the car in question leaving the scene after it happened. “I would also appeal directly to the driver to do the right thing and come forward.” Anyone who can assist should call police on 101 or the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
