Police are appealing for witnesses after a cyclist was seriously injured in the early hours of Friday 16 September.
The 18-year-old was hit by a red Kia Rio on the Chester Road, Streetly just after 12.30am. He was taken to hospital where he remains in a critical condition.
The 25-year-old driver of the car was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and has been released on police bail while enquiries continue.
Sergeant Paul Hughes, from the regional Collision Investigation Unit, said: “We are keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and saw what happened.
“A young man is in hospital with life-threatening injuries and our thoughts remain with him and his family.”
