A man will appear before magistrates tomorrow (8 September) charged with stabbing another man to death on Carters Road, Wolverhampton at the weekend.
Sivan Amin, of Merridale Street West, Wolverhampton, has been charged with the murder of Mircea Gheorghe Cozmiuc by detectives investigating the attack which is alleged to have happened on Saturday morning (3 September).
The 36-year-old has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Walsall Magistrates Court in the morning.
Two other men aged 36 and 34 have been released on police bail pending further enquiries. A third man has been released without charge.
A post mortem examination confirmed that Mircea died from multiple stab wounds to the chest.
Detective Inspector Jim Munro, from the West Midlands Police Force CID, said: “This is a significant development in our investigation - however we are still trying to piece together the circumstances that led up to the incident.
“I would urge anyone with information who has yet to contact police, or any witnesses, to call my team on the 101 number."
